Dr Caroline Biewer

Every person has all the skills and resources to shape change. Sometimes it needs support to start the process.

Where do I come from?

I was born in Buxtehude, close to Hamburg and grew up in Trier, known as the oldest city of Germany. In 2009 I moved to Fribourg for studying work and organisational psychology. The two years I had planned to stay became seven. I worked as research assistant and wrote my doctoral thesis about the experience of justice. This was followed by four years of work in Zurich. I last worked as a change manager and executive coach in the area of operational excellence before moving back to the French-speaking part of Switzerland near Lac Léman.

Today, I live in Vevey and work as a manager in HR development in Lausanne. I do this four days a week. One day I dedicate to my clients.

What I do for me

I choose whatever is good for me at the moment. Hiking, cycling, walking, jogging, listening to music, cooking, reading, looking out the window, enjoying a good wine. But it can also be stand up paddling in a wetsuit on on the lake in the middle of winter or on the sofa watching Netflix during a bright summer day.
Above all, it is important to me that I do things that correspond to my values. That's why I like to work in the field of personal development, both where I am employed and self-employmed. My values are: Justice, humanity, empathy, honesty, commitment, reliability, authenticity and development. I act according to these values and I feel best when I find them in my environment, especially in my partnership, family, circle of friends and work environment.
